How much fluoride do ACT Fluoride Rinses and Restoring™ Mouthwashes contain?
In a 1oz or 18oz bottle of either product, your children will receive 0.05% sodium fluoride, which is equivalent to 0.02% of the fluoride ion. The 33oz bottles of ACT Restoring Mouthwash contain 0.02% sodium fluoride, which is equivalent to 0.009% of the fluoride ion.
If my town has fluoridated water, could my children get too much fluoride if they use an ACT Fluoride Rinse?
The chances are very unlikely. Given the relatively low concentration of fluoride in ACT Fluoride Rinses and Restoring™ Mouthwashes, and the fact that it’s not ingested, conditions associated with over-fluoridation such as fluorosis are not considered to be an issue. Please consult with your physician or dental professional about any health concerns you may have, as your physician is familiar with your children’s personal medical history.
Do ACT Fluoride Rinses contain sugar?
Although all flavors of ACT Fluoride Rinses are tasty, none contain sugar.
Do ACT Fluoride Rinses contain alcohol?
ACT Bubblegum Blowout™ Rinse for Kids, ACT Mint™ Rinse and ACT Cinnamon™ Rinse do not contain alcohol. Therefore, none of these products should cause increased sensitivity or aggravate mouth sores.
Where are ACT Fluoride Rinses manufactured? Do they contain harmful ingredients from China?
ACT Fluoride Rinses are made in the United States and Canada at US FDA compliant facilities. They do not contain the ingredient in question with the toothpaste made in China, which was recalled.
