How much fluoride do ACT Rinses and Mouthwashes contain?
ACT rinses and mouthwashes, in sizes 18 oz and under, deliver 0.05% sodium fluoride, which is equivalent to 0.02% of the fluoride ion. The 33 oz bottles of Restoring Mouthwashes are 2x day formulas and contain 0.02% sodium fluoride, which is equivalent to 0.009% of the fluoride ion.
If my town has fluoridated water, could I get too much fluoride if I use ACT products?
The chances are very unlikely. Given the relatively low concentration of fluoride
in ACT products, and the fact that it’s not ingested, conditions associated with
over-fluoridation such as fluorosis are not considered to be an issue. Please
consult with your physician or dental professional about any health concerns you may have, as your physician is familiar with your personal medical history.
Do ACT Rinses or Mouthwashes contain sugar?
Although all flavors of ACT Rinses and Mouthwashes are tasty, none contain sugar.
Do ACT Rinses or Mouthwashes contain alcohol?
All of ACT Anticavity Rinses, are alcohol-free and should not cause increased sensitivity or aggravate mouth sores. However, for additional protection against
bad breath germs, ACT Restoring™ Mouthwash does contain alcohol (11%).
